“E-Waste Management Awareness to the Society”drive was conducted by staff members ( Dr. Mehmood Sayyad, Asst. Prof. Dipti Joshi and Asst. Prof. Snehal More) of Department of Statistics, Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts, Science and Commerce ,Pune.
Students of Science faculty actively participated in this activity.
In this drive we conducted survey about awareness of people in managing E-waste generated at home. We reached up to 220 families and created awareness about health hazards of E-waste, Government Policies of E-waste Management and Recycling of E-waste.
Also Collection of E-waste was possible with active support of our students.E-waste collected was sent to "SWACH PUNE SEVA SAHAKARI LTD." which is Autonomous Cooperative Enterprise of Waste Collectors authorized by Pune Municipal Corporation to provide door step waste collection service.
Ewaste is a devil attacking our society ... It's a humble request to all of you to recycle your ewaste by handing it over to the concerned authorities and not throwing it here and there 😃
ReplyDeleteEwaste contains hazardous compounds which not only affect the environment but also we humans..so pls dispose the waste in the different centres where ewaste is collected as Maharashtra is 2nd leading state in production of ewaste
